Love our neighbors.

That's it in a nutshell. We love our neighbors. We believe we are called to love people through their difficult situations. Each of us can admit we have received support in some way from family, friends, or an agency like Stanly Community Christian Ministry. Our agency is here to share love with those who have found themselves in emergency situations and need assistance with food or financial support for their rent, utility bills, or prescriptions.

Our Mission Statement: Answering the call to share Christ's love, SCCM provides assistance and support to our neighbors in need.

If you need assistance or support, give us a call. We'd love to talk to you and see how we can help. You can also visit our Programs page to get more information about the different ways we may be able to help.

We are a community that cares. Individuals, churches of all denominations, businesses, foundations, and many others support the mission of SCCM to share Christ's love to our neighbors in need. Did you know that 13.4% of Stanly County suffers from Food Insecurity?  And 19.8% of children in Stanly County are experiencing food insecurity? We are here to help change that narrative.
Our agency focuses on ensuring individuals and families have access to food to live healthy and active lives.

What is Food Insecurity? According to the Feeding America website, "Food insecurity is defined as a lack of consistent access to enough food for every person in a household to live an active, healthy life. This can be a temporary situation for a household or can last a long time. Food insecurity is one way we can measure how many people cannot afford food."

In addition to reducing food insecurity in our county, we also assist our clients who require financial assistance. Our agency works to reduce homelessness by helping eligible individuals with rent and utility payments.  When funds allow, we're also able to assist with prescription expenses.

Stanly Community Christian Ministry, Inc. (SCCM) is a partner agency of Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina (SHFBM). SHFBM partners and distributes food and essential grocery items to approximately 550 hunger-feeding agencies in 19 counties in North and South Carolina. Agencies served include emergency pantries, soup kitchens, senior programs, shelters, and low-income daycares.
